Launched in 2014 by Los Angeles-based Parisian designer Ahlem Manai-Platt, AHLEM creates an innovative and gorgeously crafted product that takes its inspiration from early twentieth century Bauhaus design principles.

Sustainability is at the heart of the AHLEM design and manufacturing process, which involves each individual frame being transported between three individual and specialised ateliers, all with a unique contribution to be made to the production of the frame. Propelled by the belief that its elegant products should be designed to last the wearer’s lifetime, AHLEM caps its production runs at 300 pieces and only partners with French factories that are attuned to, and practice, environmental sustainability.
